and I request that:

lead us not into temptation, hidden or visible, sudden or continuous

But, I request that:

deliver us from evil —- past, present, and to come.  Amen.

For Thine is the Kingdom and the power and the Gory forever and ever, Amen and Amen.

I request that You:

Give us this day ——-

through memory and understanding and reverence for the love which He had for us and for those things which He said, did, and suffered for us ——

——-our daily bread, Your Beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ

and ——I request that You:

forgive us our trespasses,

by Your ineffable mercy in virtue of the Passion of Your Beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, and through the merits and intercession of the most Blessed Virgin Mary and of all Your elect.

As we forgive those that trespass against us,

and what we do not fully forgive, do You, O Lord, make us fully forgive, that for Your sake we may truly love our enemies and devoutly intercede for them with You; that we may render no evil for evil, but in You may strive to do good to all.

I request that:

Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven,

that we may love You with the whole heart by always thinking of You;

with the whole soul by always desiring You;

with the whole mind by directing all our intentions to You and seeking Your honor in all things

and with all our strength, by spending all the powers and senses of body and soul in the service of Your love and not in anything else;

and that we may love our neighbors even as our selves, drawing to the best of our power all to Your love;

rejoicing in the good of others as in our own and showing compassion in troubles and giving offense to no one.

I request that Your Kingdom come,

that You may reign in us by grace and may make us come to Your Kingdom

where there is the clear vision of You,

the perfect love of You,

the blessed company of You, and

the eternal enjoyment of You.

Our Father, most holy-our Creator, Redeemer, and Comforter.

Who art in heaven, in the angels and in the saints illuminating them unto knowledge,

     for You, O Lord, are LIGHT; inflaming them unto love,

     For You, O Lord, are LOVE; dwelling in them and filling them with blessedness,

     For You, O Lord, are the HIGHEST GOOD—-the eternal GOOD from whom is all good and without whom is no good.

Hallowed be Your Name: may Your knowledge shine in us that we may know  

                the breadth of Your benefits,

                the length of Your promises,

                the height of Your majesty, and

                the depth of Your judgments.

Keep on journaling; keep on drawing.   At least producing something rather than just “thoughts”, fleeting ideas with no action.  Small actions, changes that might in aggregate constitute a human creation.  Creation not just consumption. 

Soul survival  - Economic survival -  Heart survival.   

I spent the last day of my vacation searching for possibilities. First stop was researching if I could borrow the money to buy the family farm from the other heirs.  Determined: “It could happen”.  

Next went home on the back roads.  Passed an art studio - “OPEN” sign on the front door.  The quality of the art work was shocking- was located in rural North Carolina but the artist work was from all over the world.  The owner was truly passionate about art.   An added treat was the wine from grapes grown on the back eighty acres.   I ended up with a white and a red to go.   Loved the red ( rare for me) was dry but retained a faint sweetness.   Drove on and circled the Hicks farm to see if anyone was out and about the barn but didn’t see anyone.    Drove on to Greensboro to visit with a friend.  She has been out of work for over a year - she made the decision to “turn it over to GOD”; she seems more positive and has a job interview next week with a company where she has always wanted to work and completed another interview earlier this week.

Got some wonderful advise from kind friendly people. Must continue the path of action:

Sign up for art class Oct ( 15th, 16th and 17th - fri, sat, sun) by Heiner Hertling (yourbrushwithnature).

Work toward getting the farm one “yes” at a time.  Start with “would you consider” and “would you agree for us to get an appraisal” ?

Looking toward the “Next Thirty Years” I continue to explore what I will be when I grow up — or perhaps now as I grow down.  For me growing down means getting back to the earth and back to my heritage of faith and farming.

Although I am still a full blown work-a-holic, I will continue to seek personal Truths such as: Constantly holding on to the presence of GOD; loving my family and achieving a steady state of  tolerance, compassion and respect for all the souls that cross my path.  

I have not idea how to use this blog but this is my 1st attempt.  The written work is my favorite communication medium to date.   I wish I could paint the images in my mind - perhaps another day..
